Ranking the Top Running Backs

Tomlinson is still first, but after that you'll find a a good case for a few selections that might not be in the order you would think.

Tomlinson is a whiny crybaby, his numbers mean nothing to me as i just cant stand him anymore, especially after he sat ther on the sideline with his head down as Rivers was out there. All Day is goona be a pleasure to watch this season...

LT was not faking his injury, but anyway, Peterson will be the leading rusher in the league.

i didnt think he was faking but i thought he could have played or at least stood on the sidelines with his head held high backin his teamates

So who do I take w/ my #2 pick in a TD league?I was thinking Barber or Westbrook, which I am sure everyone disagrees with... I am thinking it's between Joseph Addai, Clinton Portis & Steven Jackson.

I also play in a TD emphasis league and I don't think that taking Barber is all that crazy for those types of leagues. I think he could get between 15 - 20 TDs. I would then go with Addai, S. Jackson, Westbrook then Portis.

  • Okay, am I the only one LT will be a bust this year? My reason for this lies in two words..Lorenzo Neal. This man cleared the way for LT and his record setting TDs two years ago, and has made what LT has been up to now. Neal also made holes for Eddie George in his Tennessee days, and made Eddie shine. Now I know the Chargers got Hester from LSU and is younger and fresher, and has "big game" experience. But he lacks the "NFL experience", i.e. blocking speedy DE's to help protect LT and Rivers. That is a lot to ask for from a Rookie Fullback. Now is Norv smart enough to make the right adjustments, so that LT does not land in the backfield, or Rivers falling on his back, time will tell. But I feel strongly that the lack of presence of Lorenzo Neal and his blocking experience will hurt LT numbers, something I think a lot of people are overseeing. Thoughts anyone?

Fair point on Neal having an influence, but LT is not so one-dimensional that the loss of a very good fullback will make him a bust. No way. He won't have as much of a spread over the other top running backs this year, but "bust" is simply not going to happen. Unless you call 1,400 yards and 15 total TDs a bust.
