The Smartest GM In The NFL, Mickey Loomis.

I came across this guy when looking into the Saints success this year. He has done some amazing things over the course of two years. A combination of good draft picks and F/A's, along with snagging top notch coaches has propelled the Saints into the #1 spot in the NFC.

I want to touch on how the Saints demolished the Eagles at home on 9-20-09. At first the issue went under the radar with me focusing on Jerry Jones distractions involving the Dallas Cowboys. It wont happen again. I see why now I've been letting these Eagles fans say all this stupid talk when they get blown out at home giving up 48 points.

That would be enough for the most sane person to STFU about the Cowboys and the loss to the Eagles last year. Nope, they got to still run their pie holes about redundant crapola. Trying to excuse that sorry excuse of a team. Why do I say this you may ask. Simple the Eagles are not a good team, they wont win the SB, and PR don't win SB's.

Now on to my article. The reason why I say what I said about savant Mickey Loomis. Is because he is the reason fans like me enjoy the NFL today. People love to see talent emerge in the midst of adversity. I say all this because Mickey was progressive enough to take the coaches that the Cowboys and the Redskins should have had as their next generation H/C's.

I'm speaking of Gregg Lewis and Sean Payton. Both the victims of being associated with organizations without a directions to carry on what others built before they arrived. Thus, you see the continued tarnishing of stellar NFL franchises. Not Mickey though. Mickey hurried up and swooned and cajoled until they agreed to start the Saints on the journey to the top.

Just look at his player moves. Drew Brees, Marques Colston, Darren Sharper, Jeremy Shockey, Jonathan Vilma, and Scott Fajita. All contributing members on a highly successful team. Sean Payton has that young Saints Line looking like the Cowboys Line when they were young. Play calling? Please,... Jason Garrett can only dream of being close to that smart. Speaking of smart that's what Mickey is apparently doing. Surrounding himself and the Saints with smart people.

Gregg Williams, what can I say? I was happy to see him out of the NFC East but at the time I didn't understand why the Saints, I see it now though, Mickey! That defense is a Gregg Williams defense. Speedy, smart and tough. I can only give them credit for having "The Smartest GM in the NFL".

The main reason why the Eagles got blown out 48-22. Two ex-NFC East assistant coaches.

Robbo, your article was well written. Too bad you had to throw your hatred in it towards my Eagles. First of all we are only a few games into the season and the team and personnel you are applauding in a matter of a few games could turn into total buffoons. Now I am not saying the Saints are frauds. I'm just saying lets get into the meat of the season before you start praising the incredible moves the organization makes. As for your hatred towards my Eagles. Lets keep it real. This is not a bad team. When you say bad I think of KC or Tampa. The Eagles will be in the mix at the end and I'm sure you know it. Your a good dude and I respect your opinions, but your frustrations of your teams start is showing through loud and clear in your words. Are we good enough to win the SB? Who knows at this point. Way too early to be judging teams this early in the season. We'll see how it all shakes out come November and December how great the Saints are.

Now wait "FILL",..... You are one of my favorites bloggers left on this site. I enjoy conversing with you dude. I put that section about the Eagles in to heckle some of your more precocious fan mates. I use to put in caveats to be fair to Eagles fans such as yourself, but the more I reread my comments the more it sounded like I was equivocating.

I really do feel the Eagles are overblown in the rankings. I don't hate the Eagles that's just the way I see them. I do feel you guys are setting yourselves up for another let down. They are no doubt a top team. All things being equal. It's hard for me to think they can get past several teams ahead of them.

The Saints has shown that they have all the weapons in place to make a serious run at SB XLIV. True "FILL", anything can happen and I'm sure it will, but these Saints have been making excellent moves. Which leads me to believe whatever happens Sean, Gregg, with the help of Mickey will adjust accordingly.

Post Note: "Fill", I hope you take what I say with a grain of salt. I respect you as a peer blogger. There's however an element in your fan ranks. That will get no leniency from me for being acerbic with their comments. And,.... Yes my team have not show the same grit so far as the Eagles I admit it I won't sugarcoat that, but this amplified static. Calls for corresponding sentiments.

...when was the last time the Cowboys gave up 48 points??? I remember.... LOL we all remember hahaha. It's funny, no matter how awful your Cowboys look, you still can't help but try to make Philly look worse.... but the truth of it is we are a better team, and that's something you have to deal with.

What's that?....... you trying to shift the issue off the Saints @$$ whoopin?,........ Huh?

Besides we played two undefeated teams and both our losses don't add up to that annihilation the Eagles suffered by the hands of dem Saints. I got two words for ya,.....Who Dat?

Lets just stay with this 09' season if you don't mind. Along with the reality that the Cowboys aren't playing their best at present. While I let you deal with this latest bit of factual news.

Chiefs in OT, really? We had a bad week, and we have bounced back and easily won the games that should be easily won.... We lost to the hottest team in the NFL and we were missing our starting QB... who never would have thrown 3 picks by the way. You guys have lost to good teams and barely squeaked by the worst teams... paint it whatever color you want.... i love watching Dallas crumble. I hope you all keep 'turnover' Tony Romo around for years to come, and keep Wade too.... Ur just sad cuz our team looks great and your looks like the garbage we said they were all along. Texas white trash.

Now, now,.... take it easy your fangs are showing. It's not our fault your team is gong to crash and burn when the time comes to win in the post season.

Don't go fooling yourselves the same thing will happen when you get in the playoffs. It's your destiny, for us to shake our heads again when it happens,....... "Again". Better yet you go right ahead, you have fun with that, but save us the whinning for the team that kicks your butts,............ "Again".

"48-22, just pitiful, just ahhhh what's the use?,.........
    • BenPhranklin
      Placard_complete_small
a cowboys fan pointing out any other teams losses in the playoffs is a joke.... we won more playoffs games in this calendar year than you have in the past decade plus. We played a bad game.... and if you knew anything about football you would watch and see that our loss was closer than the score indicates. You think you can predict our future.... but your team is failing in the present andthe fututre for you is glommy according to every expert, not just me. I'm laughing at you.... AGAIN!
    • BenPhranklin
      Placard_complete_small
      -*gloomy*
    • Robbo24
      Placard_complete_small
Yeah?,...... Well a eagles fan saying we lost the NFC Championship game and saying at least we're better than the Cowboys, is a total joke and choke job.

Like I said let's focus on your debacle at home shall we? You know like the experts who said the Eagles draft put them as prohibitive favorites over the Giants in 09' to win the East. Those experts?

I love seeing your defense get demolished, and just between you and me your QB don't play defense. So, you needn't use that excuse. Giving up 48 points is all on them. I saw a T/O on special teams if I'm not mistaken? Looked like you laid an eagle egg. Did the experts predict that too?.

You made mention of your laughing. I'm guessing that should mean something? Oh well,........ you know better than to hold you breathe on that one. If you think I give sweet lovely damn. Besides, this has got to be a first. You getting thumbs upped for a grammatical correction? Damn,....... What will you eagles fans think of next?
    • BenPhranklin
      Placard_complete_small
yeah.... like i said we turned the ball over 4 times. giving a great offense 28 points. 2 of those turnovers came when we ourselves were within the redzone. those turnovers did not precisely give the saints points but each time we set them up for success by turning it over.... 3 of these turnovers were because our backup first time starter..... are you too dumb to understand what i'm saying??? just go back and watch the game yourself.... you cowboys fans are thick.
ps. it was a typo, a misspelled word, not a grammatical error.
    • Robbo24
      Placard_complete_small
"Yeah,Yeah, Yeah",.......... I saw it the first time and believe me once is too much. And,...... You need to wean yourself from all those excuses. Cause you're looking like a machine gun, rapid firing excuse after excuse.

You think we Cowboys fans are dense, huh? Why?,.... Because we don't listen to you? Dude damn,..... we just not use to your form of excuse making, that's all.

You would be better served by saying,......... "We had a bad day at the time. Things like that happens in the NFL". Now I could go with that,......... but this "we had four turnovers" and "our QB wasn't playing" and "we gave away 28 points",...... dude c'mon.

Still though, I stand corrected. Whether it was a typo or whatever. Some eagles fan thumbed you up for a typo correction? Now that's petty, you got to bare with me on this one, but "That's got to be the most petty piece of blogging I ever seen!!!!!!". Even for eagles fans,.......
  • MONSTER
have you guys ever heard of the kid who was a 3rd wr but had to start one day due to injury and put up 250 yards? i think his name is miles austin.....maybe you have heard of him?
    • Robbo24
      Placard_complete_small
And,........ The Cowboys have the #1 offense. Not bad for a team that's predicted to bring up the bottom of the NFC East.
    • BenPhranklin
      Placard_complete_small
yeah i heard that even when that young man did that.... his team still barely squeaked by the worst team in the NFL.... haha.... the Chiefs in OT....thats too funny
    • romorules
He's the wide receiver Monster. Anybody that follows the Cowboys at all knows about this kid. Think of the stats that he would have had if he hauled in two of those missed catches for td's. Romo was much more accurate. I think Tony needed this game. A win is a win.
    • I could put up 250 yards against Kansas City. Dallas is looking so terrible that you have to bring up a game that happened weeks ago. We lost to the Saints which sucked but so did every team that played them this year. The bottom line is we are in great position to make the postseason again. Dallas fans are upset that they have looked like **** all year and are talking nonsense. Get your licks in now cause it will be a ghost town on here after the Eagles destroy your sorry team.
    • Robbo24
      Placard_complete_small
You couldn't even get in the game. One hit and here you come with more excuses.

Trying to make like K.C. is a walk in the park,...... please. I can assure you it wont be a ghost town buddy because that fiction you talking bout wont even happen.

Besides, why you worried about that comment? If your team is all that? Let some Eagles fan tell it, they were suppose to go 19, or 24-0, or some crap like that. Wooops, got woke the hell up didn't you?,....... on top of getting blown up on the scoreboard.
    • I would be out of the game after one hit but KC are missing tackles like its what they are paid to do. KC is a walk in the park. They look like this years Lions. I'm fine with waiting to see who is talking fact and who is talking fiction. I never said we would go undefeated but grab some more ammo out of your ass. I'm worried about that comment because it appears the the US is getting dumber by the minute. If Dallas is America's team we need to put all the funding we can in the education system.
    • Robbo24
      Placard_complete_small
You waiting to see what's fiction? I wouldn't talk about dumb if I were you. I never said you made that comment. It was a reference to another Eagles fan who said several times the Eagles would go 19-0.

You need to resign you animosity to Americans who feel different than you. FYI, it's a choice to name the Dallas Cowboys America's Team, this is a free country, and I don't hear to many people thinking it's a title deserving of the Eagles. Unless you got evidence to prove otherwise?

Oh yeah,......America's Team won if you were interested.
    • If you are talking to me talk about things I said. Not some random reference to some person that exists among the entire fan base. I'm sure some dumb ass Dallas fan said they were going to go undefeated somewhere in the world. If any fan says their team is going undefeated they are either stupid or are just putting wishful thinking out there for fellow fans. It has nothing to do with what I said but that seems to be how you respond. Did I call Phillly Americas team? If you want my opinion its probably the Pats or the Steelers because America loves to win. So I have no problem with someone having a different opinion that me. I have a problem with the idea that America loves being mediocre. Yea you might have been Americas team over a decade ago but it isn't the case anymore. I saw you won. Congrats on beating KC...been there done that. We beat a ****** team too. So yea I think acting like Mile Austin tearing up a ****** team is a big deal and that he legit because of it is dumb. I'm not talking about Maclin putting a wooping on Tampa Bay because it means jack ****. But go ahead pull some random stats out and make some more personal attacks because I've noticed thats pretty much what you like to do on here. I've also seen you commenting about how Dallas has only lost to undefeated teams and have the number 1 offense so that must mean Dallas is great but then you turn around and say the Eagles are terrible because they lost to an undefeated team. Lets just sit back and watch football for a month and see how your predictions of the Eagles and my predictions of the Cowboys pan out when they play each other.

I thought so. No evidence to support your supposals? If not then they are a make em up as you go postulations.

This loss to the Saints is your way of combatting that pounding you took on our last meeting..It is REALLY the only credible ammo you guys have. They played an OUTSTANDING game, i can suck that one up...I know you wish they had stars on the helmet...unfortunately that is only a day dream.
    • Robbo24
      Placard_complete_small
No, it was a enjoyable game by the #1 defense going against the #1 offense. Well we know who won that one,..... now don't we? Can you say choking up the joint boys and girls?
    • pubicreign
Number one deffense after week one.. thats like saying Romo is the best Qb in the NFL...but statistically he was after week 1. We played with a banged up D and without our franchise QB. I think Kolb did play a great game..but three COSTLY turnovers in Saints terriotry in which they capitilized every single time is what killed us. I think it would be a bit different if we were playing them next week, but we are not, and its history.

I do wish you Eagles fans own up to whats on record. What I said is nothing but the truth. I don't need you to try and garble facts surrounding the Eagles getting bombed at home.

Stats can be considered records of facts. I'll leave your interpretations up for others to decide.
