Trade offer to Detroit Lions for Roy Willaims from Eagles
The Truth Team is the first to report that there is an offer being put together to offer Reggie Brown and perhaps a 4th round pick to the Detroit Lions for Wide Reciever Roy Williams. Actually not too bad of an offer for both teams.

Marinelli was contacted by the Eagles after it was told to some of the Eagles players they are shopping for a decent offer during the Superbowl. He's already told the media about trade options so it's common knowledge and that's what the Eagles are putting on the table.
Randy Moss is THE prototype #1 reciever and he was traded for ONLY a 4th round pick.
Seems solid for both team

This is something you made up. You're lying. You may want this to happen. However, it's pathetic to post such a ridulous article. Thanks for wasting everyone's time.
At least we now know that all of you future posts will be false as well. Come back to reality, UnTruth4sho!!!

Sad thing is, there isn't really anyone I could see fitting in in Philly in terms of a stud WR like we need. Walker, Moss, Roy, Chad ...they all have too much baggage to succeed in Philly. Fact is, Donovan & Westbrook may never find their 3rd horseman and Philly fans may never see the parade of all parades.

the eagles need a red zone threat thats 6"5" tall then with celek maturing maybe we can punch it in.

P.S. Is Steve Smith on panthers available, why wouldn't he want to leave, and no matter what happens don't take Randy Moss, he is selfish. But anyways, coach there is your agenda.
llhhaammii replied February 07, 2008
plus, th eagles do not run a spread offense, there is no way they can accommodate all of those players. you're looking at paying 8mil a year for a #3 WR....no way!

That being said, this can't be true. Truth4sho doesn't exactly seem like a reputable source. If he comes on here and explains his rumor, then maybe I'll give him a little more credit. But in all honesty, its only the beginning of February, there's no link or explanation behind any of this. It looks to me like Truth is doing a little fishing here.

Its as simple as this - if you dont know how good Roy Williams is, you know nothing about football.
To the guy that said Ocho Cinco runs great routes - you, sir, are a moron. The whole reason he's a problem in Cincy is that he can't take it when Carson Palmer calls him out on his mistakes. What, pray tell are those mistakes? I'll tell you - RUNNING THE WRONG ROUTES!!!! CJ plays in a system with a #1 caliber receiver on the opposite side (and no, Calvin Johnson is not a #1 caliber receiver, YET), a power runner that defenses have to respect, and a very accurate passer.
Then this crap about Fitz. He's not even the best receiver on his team. I'd take Boldin any day over Fitz because Boldin can stay healthy. Fitz gets hurt more than Williams, and would be far far more expensive. Plus, everyone who knows anything about Fitzgerald knows that he's going to Minnesota when he leaves Arizona. He was a ballboy for the Vikes and thats always where his heart remained. He was happy in Arizona because Dennis Green (the Vikes coach when Fitz was the ball boy, as well as a good friend of Fitz's father, Larry Sr.) was the coach.
Roy Williams is big, fast, and won't cost the Eagles a ridiculous amount (in trade or his contract when it expires after this year). He also provides leadership that we need (and certainly wouldn't get from Chad Johnson).
And finally, to all of you that think the Eagles aren't giving up enough in this rumor...I agree, but what you need to remember is that Roy Williams contract is up after this year, and the Lions know they won't be able to re-sign him (not with the $$ they're paying Calvin Johnson and all the needs on OL and defense), so they need to get something for him, even if its not market value. This happens in sports all the time - the Twins took a bucket of balls and 2 hot dog vouchers from the Mets for Santana. Why? because they knew they couldn't re-sign him and had to get something for him. The Lions aren't winning the super bowl this year so they need to start looking at the future. The future in Detroit clearly does not include Roy Williams - anyone can see that.

if i were the Eagles i would try to snag him for like a 3 yr. Deal either as a Slot Receiver to Complement Kevin Curtis if not than have him for Punt Returner i seriously think we need that cuz that has helped us to receive yardage but this past yr it wasnt the Case the Man is now 31-32 yrs of age and has about 3 yrs left why not pick him Up he can boost us up in some Ways so Lets see What do u guys think.........
I think he will be reasonable in terms of Price i dont think he is a money Hungry Receiver...
Can u imagine For Slot Recievers Kevin Curtis P. Price and Greg Lewis we be better than the Patriots in terms of Slot Recievers.... Reason being is that these Guys are Twice as Fast than Wes Welker Kevin I think and Greg Lewis Being the Faster players... Lets See Let me know Guys

The thing is, Price did do good his first time around with the Bills - thats why the Falcons paid dearly for him. But he was good with the Bills because of Eric Moulds.

There are less than 2 weeks left in FA............ I hope Eagles Wise up in these Few Days and try to offer the likes of Keyshawn Johnson a Hefty deal something in the ball park of a 4-5 yr deal i think he can help the Eagles win a Superbowl and he knows the NFC like the back of his hand with Tampa Dallas and Carolina Come on eagles Do your Thing I wonder if Mushin M. Is able to help us out but he is old so i dont know if he will last in the yrs ahead we need someone young or semi young with Experience Please all im asking is Dont let Parcells get Keyshawn Johnson Cuz if he is on the Fins he wont get any where cuz they are gonna need some reconstruction with Philly he is able to adapt so easily And he can help us win
