WESTBROOK done in PHILLY?
Brian Westbrook-RB-Eagles
Nov. 10 - 3:45 pm et
ESPN's Matt Mosley speculates that this could be Brian Westbrook's final season in Philadelphia.
Mosley isn't the first one to wonder this. Westbrook is 30 and his cap number next season is $10.59 million. The Eagles have a history of cutting veterans as they age, a list that includes Brian Dawkins, Jeremiah Trotter (the first time), Duce Staley, Bobby Taylor and Troy Vincent. Rookie LeSean McCoy has proven this season that he can handle the load. We would be a little surprised, but not shocked at all if Westbrook is let go after this season.

In addition to his concussion-related headaches, Brian Westbrook is also dealing with swelling in his surgically repaired ankle.
"He had a little bit of swelling, so he had some work done," coach Andy Reid said, explaining that a Wednesday absence from practice would be due to the ankle rather than the concussion. The "work done" did not involve surgery, so Westbrook still has a chance to play this week if the headaches subside.
