I'm thinking the author here has never watched any of Fedor's fights. If he had, he'd know that Fedor has been in worse situations. The fact that Rogers broke Fedor's nose isn't all that jaw-dropping either, I mean damn people... isn't he supposed to have a one-punch KO power? So if he lands a strike cleanly is it really that suprising that he'd do some damage?

Despite the fact this was Fedor's debute in the octagon, he managed to still have every imaginable advantage over his opponent. Although Rogers did teach Fedor a lesson on using the cage... pretty sure Fedor wont forget it.
    • No, I've seen plenty of Fedor's fights and I know he's been in worse shape before - hence the YouTube link to the fight where he almost got knocked out.

K... so if you know that Fedor has been in worse situations, what was your point? I mean I may be wrong here, if so I apologize, but you compared Fedor to machida. I'm more than a bit confused by that comparison when machida won by a controversial decision that most felt he lost yet Fedor won by T/KO... no ones questioning this win.

So if you've seen "plenty of Fedor's fights" explain why this win is any different then any of his other wins. I mean this isn't the first noob he's fought nor is this the first fight he's been hit and cut. So again what was your point?

Rogers put up a decent fight. I'd still think Fedor would have his hands ful against some of the HWs in the UFC....wish we could find out

Even though Rogers broke his nose. I think the cut was due to Rogers thumb nail. Fedor was getting grounded and pounded but still managed to almost pull off an arm bar. Nice move. I think Fedor likes to play posum and then "KAPOW". It's all over. That's probably why his opponents always have the look on their face like "what the hell just happened". I though I was winning this thing.....

Hes been hurt before, been in worse situations. Hes the best hw out there, and only 1 other has a decent shot at beating him, and thats brock.

I agree Brock is the only contender .. Overeem as well but Overeem can't take a punch too well.

I think Fedor definitely needs to fight better talent. Let's face it UFC let Arlovski and Silvia go for a reason; they suck right now. Rogers had a chance, but only a punchers chance, just don't think there's enough experience there. Fedor needs to fight Brock, Randy, or even Mir to prove to me that he's the number 1 p4p fighter out there over Anderson.

I think Mir will be KO'd. Randy would be a great fight but Fedor is quicker than Randy at this time in Randy's life. Brock would be a handful but I think Fedor has an edge, stand up power.

fedor will have a great opponent in his next fight... allister overeem for the strikeforce HW belt.

that's if Overeem doesn't break his hands again.. that dude needs to stop eating horsemeat and take some calcium pills

Lets lay it out ... AA left the UFC due to contract issues in which Dana admitted he messed up when he let him go. Silvia DOES suck but when you have that kinda reach he's still a threat if he connects properly. All these "new Fedor fans" fail to realize yea his noce was broken but the cut on the bridge is pre existing thing.. he's had that cut on his nose for years. The biggest thing people fail to realize with Fedor is that he doesn't look physicaly menacing or athletic, but his demeanor and ability to weather a storm prevails in the end.. you dont know if he's hurt or not because his facial expressions is always the same. Brett was no slouch he has some crazy as strength but he wasn't polished if he had better striking he may have had a chance. Brett studied tapes..but he must've missed the one in which Fedor has a tendency to bounce on his toes before he unloads an overhand.

I agree with you byany. Fedor doesnt have to dominate every fight hes in, but he does win them all. The reason is as you stated.
  • BYAnyWear
OH YEA I ALMOST FORGOT whoever, this poster is needs to Owen Wilson themselves because they obviously know nothingggggggggggg about the sport whatsoever, if you start a site about basketball stick with that before you make cornball as comments.
  • crazycanuck
How about this scenario. Fedor weighs 230lbs. And by his looks, he could most definately cut down to 205 making LH. If he's dominating these monsters at HW. Imagine what he would do to the LH's."OUCH"!!

Is it just me or is getting boring watching fedor dominate all these washed up ufc fighters and up and comer?. He needs to leave his management and go to the ufc thats what he and all the fans want

Its kinda funny how everyone says like old UFC fighters... as if the UFC heavyweight division has become a measuring tool for MMA fighters the UFC had the weakest UFC divisons for a many years. They just recently brought on some solid fighters... CArwin is up and coming, VAsquez...Cheik is suspect on the ground, Randy is old and is just playing around technically nobody benefits from fighting him, the only core is Lesnar and Nog. Why isn't Dana letting them off the leash and let them fight elsewhere? Oh i forgot he did that with Chuck LOL we all know how that ended
    • derelique38
and what exactly makes Nog top tier? Past performance, he hasnt exactly lit it up since moving to the ufc.
  • BYAnyWear
Well i mean Nog did have a decent performance on entry and put up a good fight with Randy. Technically Nog looks decent he adds depth to the HW divisiion in the UFC for the most part besides Carwin, and Vasquez the rest are 1 dimensional

      Right...
    • derelique38
I kind of agree. Still not a division thats fluffs my pillows.
  • BYAnyWear
lol agreed my focus in the UFC is constantly set on the LHW and MW divisions considering, we're in the ERA where a fighter has somewhat got cutting down to a science where he may hop between the 2 divisions.
