Matt Barnes next to leave Bay Area, womenfolk angered.

With reports out of Phoenix indicating that Matt Barnes is close to an agreement with the Phoenix Suns, female season ticket holders are planning an impromptu protest at the team practice facility in Downtown Oakland tomorrow. Details are scarce at this late hour, but when reached for comment, a representative of Women In Powerful Praise of Energetic Defense (WIPPED) identified only as Lil' Dub Fan, responded as follows.

Yes - we are definetly loosing our eye candy. :(
I hope he gets lots of playing time in phx. it is very hot there so hopefully we will be receiving back lots of shirtless photos. We still have a chance to match Buike though.

Well, at least they resigned Kelenna Azubuike (and his biceps). That should help. Oh, and Monta was a good addition too.

This offseason is reminding me of the old Seinfeld joke about trades and free agency. All your left rooting for is the laundry. Our laundry is better than your laundry. The league, the owners and the players don't seem to care much who the people are that inhabit the laundry as long as we're still cool with writing the checks. Personally, this team was particularly fun to root for because we could identify with some of the players. Now, we start again with unknowns and some mid-pack uniforms.

Ahahaaha. Warriors will miss him, but we've made some acquisitions that will fill his place pretty well. The women though... GOD. They love this bug eyed guy. I don't get it. They'd drop their panties in two shakes of a lambs tail just to see him in person. Even then they'd probably faint or just jump on him.

I'd think Belinelli would be the next stud for the ladies since he's the italian on the team. Go figure. lol

i kept my cool the first time i met him. He was the first warrior i actually met in person. I was soooo freakin nervous and i was shaking, then again it could of been because of the fact that it was like 50 somethin degrees that night but aside all that it was KICK A$$! LOL
then i progressed to meeting him more and more lol. along with his fellow teammates
      heck yes.
but this season should be more interesting, and now that i have had my chance in makin friends with the guards over thumb wars, im in with the team. haha.
      go me!

I ran into Barnes last year at the Adidas Heritage store in Berkeley and it was like the massive estrogen release stopped time for anyone female. It was like someone pressed "pause" on the great big fan-girl remote. As a consequence, MB and I had an interesting chat about C-Webb while buying kicks.

Matt Barnes is definitely easy on the eyes!! :) I know it must be hard on him to bounce around from one team to another. Hopefully, with Phoenix this will be his final stop. He seems to be well grounded and that is always a plus. I think he deserves more than what he is being paid because he has been in the league for six years and he helped the Warriors make their playoff run in 2006-2007. But last season was very challenging for him so hopefully he can rise above that and play at his best.
