Change At Palm Beach Lakes

Palm Beach Lakes' Coach Alonzo Jefferson vows to change the culture.

Most times, change is good. But you must have a vision. You must have a plan. You must have support.

Coach Jefferson has a vision.

In his first year at Palm Beach Lakes last season, the Rams suffered through a roller-coaster ride of a season. The season ended in a loss to Royal Palm Beach in the first round of the playoffs, capping off a disappointing season with a 4-7 record. Lakes went 4-6 the previous season, which led to the hiring of Jefferson. Although his team did reach the playoffs last year, it was far from the results that Jefferson wants and expects at Lakes.

In his meeting Wednesday night at Palm Beach Lakes High School with players, parents and booster club members, Jefferson made it known what his vision for the football program is: To win state championships! "We're going to be pretty good,", stated Jefferson, "the kids have been working hard and doing the right things and we have plenty of talent." Jefferson emphatically stated to those in attendance; "We're going to build a FOOTBALL PROGRAM, and if our young men give 110% in every game, then we will win EVERY GAME!" How's that for a vision?
