WNBA Retirees

A new chapter will begin next spring when the WNBA has their 2010 draft. The "new" faces will once again replace the "old". And I'm definitely gonna miss those who are retiring. I will especially miss Lisa Leslie and Vickie Johnson. I wasn't brought up to play or even watch sports as a kid. So it wasn't until adulthood that I actually knew that women played basketball beyond high school. And then, around 1999, I found out that there was a professional league for women! Little did I know that I would become a partial-season ticket holder 10 years later. And it's all because of players like those who are and have retired in the past few years. Before I get too far off subject I just want to say THANK YOU to all of the WNBA alumni. You all have significantly put women's basketball on the map and have paved the way for future players. I don't care if anyone responds to this, I just wanted to put it out there!
