Cotton Bowl Win Leaves Texas A&M Fans Eager for Next Season

The smile on Johnny Manziel’s face mirrored that of the rest of the Aggies Nation following the end of the Cotton Bowl Friday night. After beating the Oklahoma Sooners 41-13 the team finished with its first 11-win season since ’98 and only the fourth one in school history.

Yes, the game was a memorable one for the Aggies. At first it looked as if it was going to be a close game. 

Some early heroics by Heisman trophy winner Johnny Manziel put the team up 7-0, but then the Sooners were able to move the ball almost at will. The Aggies defense clamped down when Oklahoma reached the red zone, holding the Sooners to two field goals following 16 and 18 play drives to start the game....
