Say what!?! I can get a Nathan's Famous hot dog in San Jose!?!

Yes, you heard right! Never would I have thought that the famous Nathan's hot dogs would be available here in San Jose, let alone the West Coast! As the new Fall semester had begun at San Jose State University, I was looking forward to my last semester as an undergrad. It was my 2nd day of classes and my stomach was growling early in the morning, so I ventured my way onto the Student Union located in the north-east side of campus. Lunch wasn't quite ready yet, but as I walked in... I was surprised to find a Nathan's stand! I had to do a double take, because it had not been there before. I'm thinking "yeesssss!" I can finally have it cooked right in front of my eyes and ready in minutes instead of ordering a pack or two to be delivered from New York and then making them at home. For only $1.39 + tax for one hot dog, I call that a deal! My student planner actually had a coupon for a free fountain drink with a purchase of a Nathan's dog, so that's even better! What was once the Gordon Biersch stand in the student union, it is now a Nathan's hot dog stand. I'm sure SJSU's very own Joey Chestnut and his 2x win at the 2007 and 2008 4th of July Nathan's Hot Dog contest had something to do with this new existence, but hey, now competitive eating fans in the Bay Area and more specifically San Jose, can get a taste of these delicious dogs. I don't like eating my hot dogs plain, I add a little bit of nacho cheese and ketchup. Yum! So, if you guys haven't heard about Nathan's Famous hot dogs being available, now you have! (Sorry there's no background music to the miniature slide show... I know how you guys love those! lol)
