Montreal Canadiens owner George Gillett may sell the legendary team as he tries to maximize his holdings, and it could spark an intense bidding war.
Already, several potential buyers are examining the Montreal Canadiens' books as part of a process that observers say could see the storied franchise sell for as much as $400 million....
...On Wednesday, CTV Montreal confirmed that several bidders have signed confidentiality agreements so that they can review the organization's finances.
The potential buyers are said include:
