Miikka is the Man

Miikka Kiprusoff, goaltender for the Calgary Flames, put to bed any thoughts of a goalie controversy with his second shutout of the season last night. This is nice to see as there was never any real controversy between him and somewhat recently signed CuJo (Curtis Joseph). Eventhough CuJo relieved Miikka friday night after the first period in Anaheim and won his 448th career game, surpassing Terry Sawchuk for fourth on the all time list the very next night in Phoenix. He has been brought in to give Kipper a rest from time to time and also act as a mentor to Kipper, not take his job. Who else in the league can learn as much from their backup right now as Kiprusoff can? And when it comes to playoff time everyone knows where a goalie can take you.
