Theodore needs Avs to go Deep in Playoffs

Jose Theodore is one of only three goalies to win the Vezina Trophy and the Hart Trophy in the same year, the others being Dominik Hasek and Jacques Plante. But for Theodore his magnificent season of '01-'02 was followed up by a couple of sub par years and was then traded from Montreal to Colorado in March '06. His play continued to slid even after the change of scenery and in the middle of last season he lost his starting job. This is what happens when some players sign big contracts, they stop working as hard. Theodore is a prime candidate for this, after he was the leagues best goalie he didn't put the effort in to sustain that title and his play was affected. This year however, Jose is working hard on and off the ice and it has show in the box scores. His GAA is below 3.00 and his save% is over .900 for the first time since '04. The Avalanche are hoping his hard work pays off in the playoffs, if not look to see Theodore in another jersey come next fall as he is an unrestricted free agent after the year.
