Tale of Two Troublemakers, but Both Could Find Themselves Soon to be Unemployed

Reposted from jcanusports.bogspot.com: Plaxico Burress and Sean Avery may play two different sports, but the two have something in common right now. They will both likely be unemployed very soon. Plax shot himself in the leg at a nightclub. Burress was then charged with an illegal weapons possession, which carries a penalty of 3½ to 15 years in prison if he's convicted. Burress is due back in court again on March 31, unless he reaches a plea agreement. Plax has caused a lot of trouble throughout the years, but this could be the final straw. For now, head coach Tom Coughlin and Plax's teammates are standing by him. Coughlin said Burress it still part of the team. But nonetheless Plax's season is over after he was suspended and placed on the reserve non-football injury list, which means the he cannot return for the playoffs. The Giants are the best team in football at 11-1 and have proved they can win without Burress. NY should release Plaxico after the season and move forward without the troublesome wideout. Plax is a game-changer on offense, but is off the field actions take away from his talent. Plax never practices, misses meetings, and runs his mouth. He needs to go. Defensive captain and team leader in linebacker Antonio Pierce now finds himself in trouble with the law because he was with Burress and reportedly tampered with evidence. This would be a devastating blow to the defending Super Bowl Champions. We will see how this story unfolds, but Plaxico needs to be released. I am quite sure we will not see Burress in NYG blue ever again. Another high profile athlete got himself into trouble when he opened his mouth. NHL troublemaker Sean Avery has been suspended indefinitely for some very disturbing comments. "I'm really happy to be back in Calgary; I love Canada," Avery said. "I just want to comment on how it's become like a common thing in the NHL for guys to fall in love with my sloppy seconds. I don't know what that's about, but enjoy the game tonight." Avery then walked out of the locker room. This is appalling and the Dallas Stars should be embarrassed to have Avery in their locker room. I'm sure these comments happen all the time, but they should never be spoken in front of a camera. The Stars need to get rid of Avery as soon as possible. He is a huge distraction for an already struggling team. Avery is a great player and the best pest to have, but his recent actions have made him a cancer. Both the Giants and the Stars face very difficult decisions with two of their stars. Both these players need to go because their actions are unacceptable. Players like these give other athletes a bad reputation. The Giants were smart to suspend Burress, but it is now time to dump him. The Stars need to dump Avery as well. We will have to wait and see how these two stories unfold.
