Biggio-Astros agree to 1 yr. deal worth $5.15 mil
The Houston Astros came to a one year contractual agreement with 2nd baseman Craig Biggio. After saying goodbye to one longtime Astro earlier this year (Jeff Bagwell) the Astros decided to give Biggio a chance to become the 1st Astro to ever accumulate 3,000 hits. He ranks first on the team in almost every hitting category, trailing Bagwell in two (home runs, RBI). The Astros also have to worry about re-signing pitchers Roger Clemens and Andy Pettite, who have been linked to the Yankees.
