Sharks sign Joe Thornton to 3-year extension
Sharks center Joe Thornton will remain in San Jose until 2011. The 2006 MVP inked a deal today to extend his contract by 3 years. A four-time All-Star, the 2006 scoring champion, and the NHL's leading scorer since San Jose acquired him in late 2005, Thornton staying in the Bay can't mean anything but good news for the Sharkies.
