The Epidome of Reggie Ball

So I read an article today on how Georgia Tech Head Coach Chan Gailey was seriously considering going back into the role of offensive play caller. First things first, bad idea! Tech finally broke its four year 7-win season streak by going 9-5, scoring went up more than six points a game from the year before, Tashard Choice led the ACC in rushing, and Calvin Johnson set school single season records for receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. Who in their right mind would consider going back to the way things were done before all of this happened?! Even the players said they liked having a head coach who could manage the entire team instead of being weighted down with offensive responsibilities! In the end, Gailey got smart and hired John Bond as the new offensive coordinator. Smart move Chan! But, Chan Gailey's almost season-ending-before-it-ever-started decision is not the main reason for this post. Within that article I read something that epitomizes Reggie Ball's career at Georgia Tech. I love my Jackets but Ball's still the only QB that I've seen get progressively worse over a four year career... "No longer is the focus on getting the ball to Johnson and keeping Reggie Ball from having to throw over the middle because he was too short to see over the linemen and too erratic to avoid interceptions." I can't even comment after that...the statement comments for itself. (Insert joke here about UGA's dominance over Tech for the past 6 years...I know they're coming)
