NC State's Chuck Amato fired

After 7 straight losses, Chuck Amato is out as the head football coach at NC State. With big wins over Boston College and Florida State, the Wolfpack were poised to make a run at the ACC title. After the win over the Seminoles, the team underachieved greatly and failed to respond to the coaching of Amato. His teams have had a losing record in the past 3 seasons, ever since QB Phillip Rivers left for the NFL. The Wolfpack have lost a lot of close games this season, but in this age of win now or get out, Amato's 7 game losing streak was enough to get him fired.
