Why is no one running to the Michigan job?

Sean Payton was asked if he wants to officially remove his name from consideration for the Michigan job. "I don't think I have to officially remove my name," he said. "There's nothing to it." The Hackensack N.J. Record newspaper reported that U-M AD Bill Martin offered Rutgers coach Greg Schiano $2.2 million, a raise over the $1.5 million coach Lloyd Carr was paid and the $1.7 million Schiano makes. But Schiano turned the job down.
