Oklahoma's Peterson denies story that he is entering draft
The initial reports indicating that Oklahoma Sooners RB Adrian Peterson will enter the NFL Draft are inaccurate according to a statement released by Peterson through Oklahoma. The Junior running back has stated that he has yet to sign with an agent or decide whether or not he is going to enter the draft. Coach Bob Stoops says that Peterson feels as though he may have unfinished business in college, as he has missed significant portions of the past two seasons with injuries. Peterson finished 2nd in the 2004 Heisman voting to USC QB Matt Leinart, but since then has struggled to remain healthy for an entire season. Last year he suffered from a sprained ankle and this year he broke his collarbone early in the season. Many draft insiders have him going as the first RB in the first round if he were to declare.
