Top clutch teams

The clutch teams of college football have changed in the bcs era. For example Texas is now the most clutch team in the big 12, taking this spot from the sooners. With the historic win in the 2006 national championship game against USC, Vince Young and the longhorns established themselves as a perrenial power. While it started with major applewhite making the big plays for the horns it has continued with Vince Young and now Colt McCoy. The buckeyes have also taken over the big 10 from rival Michigan. They won the 2002 National Championship controversially against the miami hurricanes. Although Miami's star tailback willis mcghahee got hurt in this game it was still a victory. It has continued with 2 straight national title appearances but of course two losses. That just shows you that the buckeyes are not a big game team once you get to bowls but do sustain it during the regular season.
