I dearly love my Mets but...

I'm closely watching what the Mets do with Billy Wagner. If they settle for a salary dump you have just had the worst possible future for the Mets confirmed. That is, the management is concerned about their finances and not the product they put on the field. For me, this would be the final confirmation that a winning team is not the goal of this organization. I hope the Mets will make no deal with Boston or get players that can contribute to the team now or in the near future
