Greg Schiano, Home Depot Coach of the Year, bound for Miami?

Rutgers announced today that Greg Schiano will be named Home Depot Coach of the Year next week. Oddly enough, if Schiano and Rutgers can beat WVU on saturday, Schiano will be heading to Miami.....to meet with Orange Bowl officials at 4pm Wednesday. The meet-the-media session will likely be preceded by Miami athletic director Paul Dee seeking permission on Monday from Rutgers AD Bob Mulcahy to speak with Schiano. Dee told several Florida media outlets on Wednesday that he intends to hire a coach within the next two weeks. A Rutgers win this weekend (which clinches the Big East and Orange Bowl berth) could give officials from The U a chance for a face-to-face meeting with Schiano in South Florida on Rutgers' dime.
