Rutgers top assistant arrested, Schiano has no comment

After getting a promotion to assistant head coach just a couple months ago, Chris Demarest was arrested for assult at a Jersey Shore bar this weekend. The victim is rumored to be a girlfriend. Schiano's immediate statement : "I am in the process of gathering all of the information and it would not be fair to make any statement or judgment until I collect all of the facts." A friend just made the point that if this happened three years ago, it would barely make the sports section in the Star Ledger. Now its front page news on the major sports sites. Hell yea!
