The Success of the Rutgers Football Program May Help Future of Other Sports

This academic year, Rutgers University cut 6 different athletic programs. They included both crew teams, the men's swimming team, the diving teams, and the men's tennis team. The Football Program brough in an extra 2 million dollars in revenue; however, expense of keeping the Rutgers Athletics as is will put the athletics department about 12 million over budget.
