Kotsay Out Due To Surgery

Oakland A's outfielder Mark Kotsay had surgery on his lower back this morning and looks to be out eight to twelve weeks. This is not a new injury for Kotsay, he has been plagued with back problems since 2003. While this obvioulsy hurts Kotsay, this is a huge blow to the Oakland ball club. They had to be expecting Kotsay to be the Opening Day centerfielder and lead off hitter, now they have to look to fill those two important roles. So far this Spring, Milton Bradley has been roaming center for the A's.
