Is Clay Meredith's magic from '06 and '07 gone? He gets sent down to Triple-A

Have MLB batters figured out Meredith? Or are the San Diego Padres using him too much? According to San Diego Padres' manager Bud Black, this was a step that needed to be made to get Meredith's confidence back at the level that it was when he first started pitching for the club in May 2006. Hopefully for the Padres this step will bring back Clay Meredith's magic for '09.
