A Letter to the Giants about Barry Zito Making Baseball Fun to Watch

Dear San Francisco Giants, Thank you for signing Barry Zito. He keeps me entertained on my lunch breaks. Today your 100+ million dollar man gave up countless hits, walked the bases loaded and had 4 earned runs. Please keep him around so we can see him go defeated. Sincerely, Pelechati

HAHA either that or the average number of walks he gives up per game.

I think he's advertising $5 footlongs at Subway.

You'll find his ERA on the back of his jersey.

My brother wanted to comment: Nice…although "countless hits" is a bit much…he's given up 5 so far today. You did leave out that after walking the bases loaded then striking out the 7 and 8 hitters he gave up a single to Brandon Webb (THE PITCHER) on an 0-2 count. THE PITCHER! Just another "pitch that got away from him" I'm sure…like when first base was open last week against Albert Pujols and he hung a curve that Albert deposited in the stands for a 3 run homer…OOPS.

I'll say Zito........if they send him to triple A!

I think Bonds because he can go to Japan...Zito would have to hit up a 12 and under farm system to win with his fastball.

"During the 2008 season, Barry Zito will donate $500 to Strikeouts For Troops for every strikeout he records."

Great. Terrific. Amen. Thanks a Bunch.

I'd rather take my chances with the Matt Stairs Stolen Bases for Bunions campaign.

If he really supported the troops, he'd make a donation for every walk.

From an ESPN on Dec 29, 2006 --- "The Giants' top brass -- including owner Peter Magowan, executive vice president Larry Baer, Sabean and new manager Bruce Bochy -- had a long dinner with Zito and his agent, Scott Boras, at the posh Peninsula hotel in Beverly Hills on Nov. 26. The sides hit it off." Zito would sign his deal soon after.

I guess that's all it takes, a few beers and a acoustic solo on the guitar? Can I take management out for dinner? I'm looking for the worst deal in sports history.

Zito sucks, saw him today and he gave up 4 runs and walked a bunch of guys. Too bad for that $127 million

I think they sgould let the guy surf again. If not send him to the bullpen and let him get his act together. The only reason to come to the park is Cain and The Boy (Tim). Keep letting the kids play, Davis, Lewis, Bocock, Velez there is a good foundation happening here. The only guy over 30 that should stay is Randy Winn. Omar, lets face it, is at the tail end of his career. IT IS GONNA BE A LONG SEASON!!!

the picture of Zito holding up 10 fingers is an indication of how many games it's going to take for him to get his first win...if we're lucky!!!

I actually think he's gesturing how he's got Giants' management by the balls.

Or the amount of wins you get after having sex with Alyssa Milano. Him and Carl Pavano should hangout.
