Rangers reward Washington with 2010 option

The Texas Rangers gave manager Ron Washington a vote of confidence on Monday, exercising his option to manage the team in 2010. Fans will remember that just last season Washington’s job was in jeopardy and the team looked to be somewhat directionless.
