Jags Uche Nwaneri Chats With GIF's Jammin Jaguar

Last night I shared a few words with Jaguars OG Uche Nwaneri via Facebook Chat. I just thought I'd share a few topics we discussed and a few views that the good man Uche expressed. First of all was the possibility of drafting Andre Smith, OT, Alabama. When I asked him his view, he said that he highly doubts that we, the Jaguars, would draft Andre because we do not like his character. Second of all, I asked him bout the likelyness of drafting Mark Sanchez, QB, USC... The response I got was "It'd be a waste of our #8". Uche went on to explain how he believed that David Garrard was an established QB and will be our starter for years to come, and that the #8 pick would be best used looking elsewhere. I then went on to ask Uche who he wanted the team to select in the first round, and he said... "Crabtree." Even though we'd acquired Torry Holt the day before, he didn't believe that the signing took care of our WR need. The last question was also regarding the Draft, this time revolving around Cal's Center Alex Mack. I asked Uche about how he'd feel if we drafted the young Center either in the 1st or 2nd round on Saturday. He replied by saying "We've got a young guy in Drew Miller under the wing of Brad Meester, so I don't see why we'd go and select another young Center". So, to cap off mine and Uche's chat regarding the draft, he doesn't believe we'll draft Andre Smith, Alex Mack or Mark Sanchez and hopes that we'll be able to select Michael Crabtree, WR, Texas Tech. Oh, and he said he thought the new uniforms were cool. Just thought I'd share with y'all.
