SOMETIMES THE GOOD GUYS DO WIN.

FEW months ago I put up a post called 'AN OPEN LETTER TO MARCEL REECE'   http://www.yardbarker.com/forum/3/43/discussion/an_open_letter_to_marcel_reece/10800092 .

I didn't think he would read it, but unlike the Eagles now, I know that sometimes Raiders will kick it with us fans, so I couldn't be SURE that he wouldn't read it.

In it I said that Reece should sign his contract and try to hoover up any extra work that came his way. That this season was his opportunity to squander. He signed his deal and reported to camp.

The result?

HIS FIRST PRO BOWL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Way to go REEEEEEEEEECE!

RunDMC got hurt (again) and he stepped up to start! When a dirty work position like FB gets to start at HB and gets a Pro Bowl nod, it can go a loooooong way to incentivizing young players to make them selves open to pitching in on new challenges.

Marcel Reece. Our FB. Our Matchup Nightmare. Our Building block.
