WEEK ONE: THE CHARGERS

WE win Monday over the Chargers.

Every weapon SD has is down the middle of the field (TE, RB) since their WR corp is FA raided, injury decimated, talent depleted or just flat out unreliable.

I see a battle of field position until the RAIDERS break the game and the Chargers chest open.

Call it....21-16 Silver and Black.

Monday night I want to see the plays they call for Carson Palmer. Preseason only tells me how many more games there are until I care. Monday night will tell me if Dennis Allen understands what he has and doesn't have at QB. They shouldn't all be checkdowns and screens and junk, but I don't see precision when Palmer lets it rip deep. Maybe he'll round out as the year goes on. Maybe only his shoulder joint will round out as the year goes on. I dunno.

Just show me a team that leans on DMac, moves Marcel Reece around (AND throws him some bones 3 would be a start), and uses play-action to set up intermediate passes where guys can run with the ball. Show me some ofthat Monday night. Preferably ALL OF IT Monday night.
