        Fiverings, are you talking to me? If so, I have never personally met Michael Vick so can not call him a buddy. And I would not want to spend time in prison with him or anyone else God-willing. But I do feel that he should be given the opportunity to play football again in the NFL if he desires. If he has repented as we all should do, it is time to move on and learn from mistakes.

  I am saying Big Ups to all my haters! Thank you Judge Doty for your intelligent decision! Although I had prayed that this type of decision making would have occured before Vick suspension and prison time. Nevertheless, I am very please with the decision and am positive that Vick is please as well. I pray that you guys will bar bitterness from your hearts as Vick prepares to make a great comeback! Otherwise your bitterness will increase and cause you all to age rapidly sending you to early graves! Keep in mind that Vick comes from a people of mere strength and what does not kill us only makes us better. We have used and will continue to use all the negative vibes as motivation to fuel our fires! You ain't seen nothing yet for the Best of VICK is yet to come! God bless!

  Lets get down to the heart of the matter shall we? You guys are not mad at Vick about dog fighting this is far greater than that! I have tried not to take it to this level; however, I find it necessary to shine a light where there is darkness. The truth is that you guys have disliked Vick from the beginning. I mean when the Kid played ball you guys complained that he ran too much or wasn't accurate enough! Let us be honest here " Dog fighting is a sport for aggressive dogs" not matter how long ago it was deemed illegal it still occurs. People have participated in the fighting of dogs since the beginning of time rather directly or indirectly, just as they have participated in other animal torture amusements. The truth is it was only a short amount of time before Vicks conviction that "Dog Fighting" became completely illegal. I am not condoning the activity because I love animals and have three pit-bulls myself ( Xavier, Messiah, and Crimson). Since we are going to make a big deal about fighting dogs than let us not harm any animal which means we all should become Vegetarians( like myself). This is utter "Tomfoolery" to place dogs above humans, but what do you expect from a people who's history entails training their dogs to attack and kill Black Americans! There are women being battered, children being raped, homeless people going without the necessities in life and here you are spending your days and nights hating Vick and praying that he is unable to keep money that you will never see in your lifetime! You would think that Vick is the biggest criminal in the world the way the media has portrayed this whole incident and the way all of you seem to be carrying on about his life. Now don't get me wrong, I am an animal lover and do not agree that animals should be tortured. Still, I understand that my beliefs are not shared with the entire world. I do not want to attribute this to racism but that is what it boils down to especially since you guys are angry that a "BLACK Athlete and Animal Killer" gets to keep money that he deserves. Fiverings, Yes I am still a proud supporter of Michael Vick, for not only is he a great athlete his little incident has exposed the racist hand that America has been playing since the beginning of time. It also proves that America needs to get her priorities straight. It is amazing that we are more concerned with killing animals than the fact that our country is being ran on false pretenses since our president lied to us about going to war and now we are killing innocent people everyday, but that doesn't seem to bother anyone but me. Keep in mind that when you step to me, you BETTER step correctly otherwise you just might get your feelings hurt. Thank you haters for your continued motivation.     I also do not condone dog-fighting but would like to see people more passionate about atrocities against humans. I do feel that there are some racial overtones involved in Vick's sentence since dog-fighting continues to exist as-well-as, killing deer, foxes, etc. for sport which I have never understood. Some countries even kill and eat dogs as a delicacy. Just would like to see people have as much compassion towards each other as they do dogs. Some of these comments have been quite vehement and hateful. I thought everyone had a right to voice their opinion without being called out of their name. Whats up with that? What happen to Yard rules, Keep it clean and no personal attacks. It is ok to disagree to disagree.

      Most of the reason that he was in prison is that he lied about it. That just added to his misery. We don't need a running diatribe on racism on here. He did something stupid and he got caught.

That was well stated and while I do not remember calling anyone out of their name, I will admit that there could have been a better way to express (as you so gracefully did) the racial overtones involved with Vick case! I honestly feel like my first and second comments on this article expressed the same points that you are expressing here! Yes some of these comments have been intense and hateful but even then I still seem to preserve a calm mind and a courageous spirit all while barring bitterness from my heart. I realized that some people are full of bitterness and will always be bitter. Since you so eloquently summed it all up for us, I will take your advice and agree to disagree!

      Congrats MarkoD because you definitely stated your mind without being clean and civil but you got your point across. A well-know poet said "If my confidence makes you feel incompetent then, incarcerate you insecurities and check your coolness men." How could you allow my opinion to upset you so that it would show your weakness? English is more expressive, with a much larger vocabulary than almost any other language. The person who has to use profanity to express an idea or feeling is showing his lack of fluency as well as his weakness. Even now I preserve a calm mind with a courageous spirit and am still saying Thank you Judge Doty because no matter how much we haters and supporters bark back and forth, the truth is that it will not change the fact that Mr. Vick will be keeping 16.5 million dollars in bonuses; although, it may help us to become better debaters and commentators. It is imperative that Vick as well as many others know "for every choice you make there are consequences that you must suffer for both the good and the bad" but you must not let it keep you down. This is considered sorry.. to make a mistake and hit rock bottom and stay there because there is not enough love among human kind to forgive you, help you see your mistakes, and lift you back up. What is even more sorry is to allow the lack of love to keep you down. Vick, just like others, will rise above the shame on to excellence and more fame and immortalize his names and though not as much as he had before he will still have 16.5 Million dollars to do it with!

      My soul is not at all misguided but since you have offered to pray, make sure you pray that God will bestow upon you knowledge and understanding. What is strange is that I continue to have to emphasize that I not putting Vick on a pedestal. Those who disagree with me see things differently than do and I am fine with that. When did I call them racist because they disagreed with me?!? It is true that I do not know you and some others, but you and the others do not know me which is not unusual on sites such as this; therefore, what is your point? Are you saying that I should not speak the truth and voice my opinion? Let me help you not make yourself hoarse since you will have to scream a lot in the near future because people will continue to bring up the government when talking about crime only because the two are normally associated together. No one is defending crime by discussing the government but using the issues with the government to point out that while this is a serious issue there are millions of other issues deemed more serious that should get more attention. If he would have come forward and told the truth, he might not be in prison. He is an animal abuser and a liar. History proves that White American's use to train their dogs to attack and Kill Black Americans and no matter how much we dislike this or wish is was not true...it is.         Since you mentioned it, there are things which happened in the past that are still occuring today and if you don't believe it, do some research and see the most recent racist activities against Black Americans. There are even so cases that have not been documented forcing you to dig deeper to find out that particular information. The truth is rather or not you are racist some of America still is and that is not a generalized statement... That is a fact!

This BLOOD SPORT is utilized for entertainment and has been documented in the recorded history of many different cultures, and has existed since the initial domestication of the species. Many different breeds have been bred specifically for the strength, attitude, and physical features that would make them better fighting dogs. Scholars also speculate that large-scale human migration, development of trade, and gifts between royal courts of valuable fighting dogs facilitated the spread of fighting dog breeds. There are many accounts of military campaigns which utilized fighting dogs, as well as royal gifts in the form of large dogs. According to a study by the College of Law of the Michigan State University published in 2005, in the United States, dog fighting was once completely legal and was sanctioned and promoted during the colonial period (1600s through 1776) and continuing through the Victorian era in the late 19th century. However, by the early twentieth century, dog fighting cease to be tolerated. Despite legality issues, dogs are still commonly used for fighting purposes all across the continent. The American Pit Bull Terrier is the most popular breed used for fighting, but foreign breeds, such as the Dogo Argentino (used widely in South America) and Presa Canario (used in Spain) are also gaining popularity.
    
    Now that you we have clarified the misconception that dog fighting is not a sport, I will answer your question about my relations to Vick. I am in no ways related to Vick and have never been afforded an opportunity to meet him, but this would not change my views about this particular situation. Do you know me? Why don't you give us your dogs, we'll fight them until they are disgured all to hell and then we'll take pics of them for you to hang on your wall. Then you can argue all you want about it. Messiah and Crimson where born ready to fight so if you want to purchase them... you will have to offer a real good price. Now Reese is not at all aggressive but she will be ready to mate real soon. My degrees do not prove me right or wrong but they show that I am not the one needing to get my head checked! The information about dog fighting was only put there are references and if you do not need to read the books, don't read them. I just like to give credit where it is do since that information was not something I developed on my on!

  We can talk about white and black america all day and its not going to solve anything. We can talk about dogs being over humans, or whatever. That is not the topic here though. The topic is that the Judge made it clear that that money that was given to Vick on endorsements is still there for him. Yes he was wrong, very wrong. I'm not defending him, nor am i condemning him. I have no right to do that because I'm not God. He was my favorite player in the league, but he lost a lot of respect from me with the dog fighting. But I ask you this, and like I said, I'm not defending Vick with his dog fighting because I love dogs and I hate to see them hurt. But I ask you this, how many times a have any of us walked into a bar or a friends house and saw the head of a dog sitting on a mantlepiece, or a dog skinned for a rug? How many of us drive and hit a squirrel, or possum, then get out to see if it was ok? Animals are animals. No animal is higher than the other, and animal cruelty is animal cruelty. So while we're in here pointing the finger at each other and trying to make the topic into a racist topic, lets re-evaluate and get back on the real subject. Obviously wince we're all here talking about it, we all love animals. So rather than fighting about who's wrong and what shouldnt be done, let's get together and make a stand. I can't believe some of the stuff I read. It makes no sense. We're making bigger problems out of smaller things that are null and void right now.

  Its mighty funny that the blame is soley being placed on Vick and not the other who actually turned their backs on him. The actual crime was commited by family. Vick mainly took the fall because of the odds that was placed against him. Do not get me wrong. I am not a football fan, and I know nothing of his career. I just work in the law enforcement field and I look at facts. He was aware of the fighting and did nothing to stop it. His name is on every document, property, etc.... and that makes him held accountable in the eyes of the law. Rather his hands are dirty or not is based on rather he actually handled the dogs during a fight. Gulit by association always get the high marks in the eye of the public. The home was occupied by family members and he was their during off season. There are a lot of factors that are not being discussed, and because of his status he is being paced on the stage alone. I feel that a person should not be judge based on status. If it was just his family you would still put him in the same spot light. If your going to express your opnion of a person research the facts. Its not about skin color or superstar status. Its about facts. Dog fighting is considered a sport to some. There are books writtend and there are individuals engaging in the activity. Thats like hunting to me is wrong, but most would say we have to eat right. Farmers raise farm animals just to slaughter them for the public to purchase them in the store. Consumers purchase mutiliated furs to wear on their backs. Think about the bigger picture that is all i am asking. Peace.
