The Cowboys Are On Track To Being A Better Team.
The Cowboys are leading the NFL. The Defense is solid except in the defensive backfield. Tony Romo is playing a tad bit better the last game. Overall the Cowboys are a solid team.
Just looking at the stats I'm going to play coach for a moment. Tony needs to spread the ball to the WR"s more. The Offense has to incorporate the screen pass in attacking the LB's. The running game has to be redone to control the clock later in the game. Tony has to setup his passes by keeping the LB's on their heels with the intermediate pass. After the LB's get to second guessing. Then hit em up with the long ball.
Now on defense Dave Campos is a big liability. This zone nickle packages on majority of the plays are hurting the team. The secondary has to start early and often with the hard bump and run on passing downs. I'm talking being physical with the top two WR's forcing the the check downs to beat the defense. Better odds for the Cowboys that way. Pretty much everything else on defense is coming along I wouldn't veer from the current game plan except maybe stressing more aggressive gap play.
Take care of these deficiencies and I think the Cowboys will make a stronger run to the post season and becoming a even more solid team.
