The Brett Favre article I thought I'd never write

When I first heard that Brett Favre wanted to return for the 2008 season, I was very disappointed. I realize that it is always a players’ right to remain active in a sport since the window of opportunity is so small, but Favre had just completed an amazing season leading the Packers to within one game of the Super Bowl.

I was beginning to see the “diva” quality that many fans had been accusing Favre of having for many years. I always felt that Favre should be allowed to play for as long as he wanted, even if that meant Favre played until he was ready to collect social security.
