Cal names Riley as starter vs. MSU! Senior Nate Longshore to come off bench

The California Golden Bears finally made a decision at QB this week, as head coach Jeff Tedford named sophomore Kevin Riley the starter over senior and incumbent Nate Longshore. This has been a tough call, because Longshore is one of the better NCAA QB's when healthy, but his injury last season and the way he continued to play while injured turned many Cal faithful against him and for Riley, who led the Bears to a come from behind victory in the Armed Forces Bowl. I feel bad for Nate, but I think this gives Cal the best chance to win for the long haul and this season, so it makes the most sense. I'm really looking forward to August 30th. Go Bears!
