Cal's DeSean Jackson surprises family again, declares early for NFL Draft

Junior WR and PR DeSean Jackson has declared himself eligible for the 2008 NFL Draft after being told he will be a top 15 pick. The WR's family however, had thought that he would be returning for his senior season at the #1 public school in the country to finish his degree, with his father stating "Education is the most important thing to our family. I really think he was leaning toward coming back to school," he said. "If he was going to go (to the) draft, he would have to be working out. He's been relaxed and hanging out with his partners." DeSean however, his known for his surprises. When deciding where to go to college in the first place, it was widely expected that the Long Beach Poly star would go to local USC. However, he spurned the Trojans for Cal, and his father was very surprised. "Of course, he blew my mind with his last decision. I thought he was going to SC."
