Spring ball: Cal's Riley looking to lead bears at QB

After a disappointing 2007 campaign which saw the Bears ascend to #2 in the country and on the cusp of #1 after LSU's loss in triple overtime to Kentucky, California looks to rebuild for the upcoming '08 season. This will begin with a whole new receiving corps, running back, and potentially a new QB. The spring competition will involve 2 year incumbent starter Nate Longshore and sophomore Kevin Riley. Many fans would rather have Riley, after Longshore's play dropped off substantially after he injured his ankle in the Oregon game. It'll be interesting to see who gets the starting nod, but Bears fans must be realistic about our chances next season, as we have to replace a lot of starters.
