20/20 EYESIGHT.

ONE of the reasons fans get so mad and so disappointed is because they don't take into account that the F.O. doesn't operate on emotion. Fans are the emotional ones. We wear it on our sleeve and press our foreheads right up against the issue. Each issue.

Usually when you stand that close, you lose perspective.

So step back and REALLY look at this thing. Look at it the way you'd look at it, if it were.....the Tennessee Titans we were discussing.

Actually that's GREAT IDEA! We'll look at the Titans!

The Titans were a huge disappointment (6-10) last year. Recovering from years of the Wide Nine defense, blessed with one of the games most dynamic RB's, led by a brittle QB with fading skills but with a young gun waiting in the wings. Sound familiar?

It's no secret that Mike Munchak is under pressure to win soon by his boss, owner Bud Adams. Picking the wrong QB will help land Munchak in the unemployment line. So he has to get 2013 right to have a 2014.

If you were Munchak and it was your job on the line; who do you go with and why?

  • You're right, flip. Fans do follow their hearts and speak through emotion. Some fans never thought the Eagles would trade McNabb nor get rid of Reid but it happened. I can't speak for anyone else on here when it comes to Vick but if any bit of what I discuss about the subject is from the heart it is heavily outweighed by what my brain is telling me...the man is struggling mightily the last two years and can't stay healthy. I don't care what Mike Munchak does honestly but if I were a rookie head coach trying to BUILD my team it wouldn't be with a 33 year old quarterback who has taken a step back in the last 3 years (and wasn't a very good passer before that) and has a long injury history. Mike Vick doesn't keep Chip Kelly out of the unemployment line...actually if Kelly decides to stick with him and he struggles again and the QB search get's hindered it could be his first baby step towards that line.

  • The reason I put this post up is to see how Eagle fans view football when it's not the Eagles on the table.

Emotion clouds objectivity. We all know that much.

So my idea here was to see where heads were at when they were cooler, and could look at it from a different perspective.

  • But the question is about The TITANS.

Their situation is similar to ours, so I'm wondering how Eagles fans will see football when they aren't the subject.

You live in Arizona. Have you ever offered up an opinion on the Cardinals when you've heard someone discussing them?
