BREAKING NEWS!!!: Brian Westbrook is inactive for Eagles-Cowboys game
Philadelphia Eagles running back Brian Westbrook who suffered a concussion during the Eagles week seven Monday night game at Washington and was forced to miss week eight against the Giants.
Earlier this week multiple sources came forward and states that Brian was cleared to play by the Eagles medical staff, and barring a setback he would participate in tonight's game against the Cowboys. Well, apparently a setback has occurred.
According to the NFL Network, along with ESPN and many corresponding networks, Brian Westbrook is inactive for Tonight's Eagles-Cowboys game. The Eagles running attack, much like last week, will feature rookie backup, LeSean McCoy and Eagles fullback Leonard Weaver.
Perhaps Brian wasn't supposed to play at all this week, and Eagles head coach Andy Reid wanted to play with the Cowboys heads. Much like he attempted to do with the Giants the week prior to their game. We really do not know.
But, what we do know is that Brian Westbrook will miss a second consecutive game due to that concussion.
