EAGLES LOSE THE PIGEON BOWL
LOSING to the Raiders is a bucket of cold water in the face. We came out flat. We didn't run the ball. That said: What can you expect from a O-line that played most of the game with only ONE planned starter (Jammal Jackson), playing alongside FOUR back-ups. (Two on either side.) McNabb looked uncomfortable ALL DAY long, so of course throws were high, throws were long, throws were short. Again, without benefit of a REAL running game, against Raider passrushers who were just pinning their ears back and ignoring any idea of defending the run. You could see that on some of Westbrook's runs right up the gut. They were good runs, because the first level defenders ran clean past him to get to McNabb.
The defense looked bad but they didn't give up a truckload of points. They did get pressure. They did get turnovers. They didn't stop the run consistently, but they did stop Fargas when the game.
Special Teams...I mean Akers was 3 for 5. On the one kickoff it was us vs. the Raiders and "That Pigeon".
BTW: Save yourself some aggravation and IGNORE any article written about firing Andy. The F.O. is actually looking to EXTEND his contract. So anybody who has an issue with Andy, or how he coaches HIS team; should just find some other team to root for. Save yourself the bitching, whinning, and crying like toddlers in a bear trap. And save the rest of us from having to suffer through it as well.
