Edge- James available at RB

I know alot of you pass happy Andy followers dont think james can help but could he be a reliable option if Westbrook stays hurt and the weather gets cold. I think the guy would be an excellent addition as a third back in a smart playoff run. keep Westbrook fresh and use James to close out games and punish the opposition. I like veteran players that know how to win and dont put the ball on the turf. . And like he stepped up vs Eagles in NFC Championship I think the guy might just have enough in his tank to give eagles a good nudge over the top. Of course, lets pay him the league minimum.

So, how do you propose to get him away from the Seahawks? They DO have a say, don`t they?

they released him yesterday wheel. and i say no. westbrook will be fine, mccoy has done well when called upon, and weaver showed he can run the ball just fine. no need to get a guy who has been beat up over the years and clearly isn`t anywhere near the back he used to be.

Thanks for the update k, I didn`t know. That by itself should be telling a lot, if the banged up Seahawks saw no value in keeping him, a few months after getting him from the Cards.

nahh Shady and Weaver and buckley can do the job just fine. If edge cant do any good out there in Seattle he's of no value here in philly

right. if anything they need another receiver just in case of an injury.

That`s about the only position where we have some depth left anymore. I believe that`s why Edge was obtained in the first place, as insurance. Letting him go should be saying that even as insurance, the guy just doesn`t have it. Its sad, when a once great back has less value than the Gatorade boy. Sometimes, the business end of football sucks.
