FLIPPIN THE BIRD TO: INGRATE FANS
Yes my "YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST" article did say "points MAY be hard to come by." But I also recall saying that Kolb could have another big game, but that it wasn't likely. My issue is with SOME EAGLES fans running around like beating a team that has trouble being competitive in the AFC West somehow means we have a QB who is now Giants, Cowboys, Steelers level ready. The article in Kolb's Yard posted just to this left of this post says "Eagles no longer reliant on McNabb and Westbrook". Really? When this team manages to beat a couple COMPETITIVE ballclubs with Kolb in the harness, THEN we can talk about passing the torch. But the idea that we'd throw over a guy who's gotten us to one of the two Superbowls this franchise has ever seen, in favor of a guy that made us all nearly crap our collective pants with dread upon the announcement that he'd start against the Saints, is just re-God-da**-diculous.
In two weeks (and half as many wins), Kolb has gone from Gilligan to Joe Montana in the eyes of members of this fanbase. THIS is why everyone outside of a 191** zipcode regards Philly fans as stupid, fickle children, who don't deserve postseason hardware because they don't REALLY get behind their teams. The on-going debate about D Mac's GREATNESS is the best and saddest example of why others look so far down on us as a whole. If McNabb played elsewhere, you'd spend your Sundays in Chickies and Pete's saying "Why can't we have a QB who don't throw no picks, and gets us to the playoffs whenever he's healthy?" Ask the average EAGLES fan what they think of Drew Brees, Carson Palmer or Kurt Warner, then ask them about McNabb.
Some of you guys SUCK! Don't bother posting to ask if I mean you. You already know who you are.
