  I don't understand it either. With the way they're using him in the Wildcat, they might as well just snap it to a RB like Miami does. Vick on the field means = "QB sprint out" 9 times out of 10. Just sad.

    Yo Whole9, you can look at it in many different ways but let's look at it how it is now and ask yourself these simple questions. Q: What is Michael Vick on the Eagles roster?
    A: He is a 3rd string back-up QB
    
    Q: How many back-up QB's do you see in the NFL that get to take snaps in a game if the starter isn't injured or if the other team isn't getting destroyed?
    A: 0 or let me spell it out ZERO, ZIP, NADA, NONE
    
    Q: Should Michael Vick be grateful that he is even playing in the NFL and that the Eagles gave him a chance? Should he be grateful that he even see's playing time as a 3rd string QB?
    A: Yes and HELL yes!
    
    Q: Will you be glad to have a competent QB if Donovan went down seeing as though it has happened already this year. A competent QB to take over if Kolb couldn't get the job done?
    A: I hope you would be cause that's what the Eagles have. They have DEPTH at the QB position which has been known to kill us when they get injured.
    
    Bottom line you just proved the point that you can't be satisfied with having a decent roster. If we didn't have Vick believe me you would not be screaming Kolb needs more plays. Vick is what he is a backup and has had more chances to play than any other 2nd or 3rd string QB in the league barring injuries to their teams. Now if you disagree how they are using him like Birdflipper does then that's different. I feel as though with his playing style and position that he is perfect to run the wildcat. If we were having the success Miami has with it, none of these questions would even have come into play. You would understand why we are using him that way. Now I feel also that there should be more passing from the wildcat seeing as though he is a dual threat and teams stack 8 men in the box all the time. That is something to argue.

The only thing we can do now with him is put him in to take snaps after we are safe in some blowout game, just to increase his trade value.

  Dude but you said he sucks, so why did he even make it to the pro bowl 3 TIMES as a QB? Please state your case? That is pretty hard ya know? He made it one game shy of a superbowl so how did he suck with the falcons dude? Matt Ryan lost his first playoff game. Vick set an Nfl record his first playoff game, beating Favre an the packers in lambeau field in a playoff game for the first time in NFL history, who gives a shyyt about a mutt, Matter of fact , im gonna run the next one over i see an pick it up an drop it off on your door step.

    Because he took a sorry team to the playoffs and he is exciting. I feel where you coming from and your defending him like he is Donovan. He is a back-up and not only that he is backing up Kolb. I know you like Vick and I like him too and granted he was dangerous before he went to jail and he will play for another team next year I guarantee that. Don't be suprised though if he isn't starting for the next team. I think he will cause he's a starting QB but hell he's got bills to pay and is gonna go where the money is, he's not stupid.

  One other thing Vick beat the Eagles when he had them on his soil in the Ga Dome. Lets not forget that fight that happened. Most of the times when the eagles beat Vick they had homefield advantage.

  I think Vick should be getting a quarter per game or at least 2 to three full series. McNabb looks hurt and isnt playing at a high level. Why not run a tandem at QB they do it at every other position. And McNabb isnt known for his endurance. Vick is being underutilized and its a long season. Why not?

    Mcnabb was messing up the whole phucking game, you phaggot. Vick came in an made a way better short pass an they pulled him out. Mcnabb played like shyyt yesterday and Kevin Kolb is a phucking joke anyone who thinks hes better than a 3time pro bowler Vick is a retard. For one, we saw him play last season, so IMO he is not a rookie. For two, everyone in the league knows Reid is a pass happy coach, he passes way more than necessary. For 2, not suprised Kolb threw for 300 yrds against the Saints, but WAIT FOR IT- WAIT FOR IT! HE ALSO THREW 3INTS! WHAT U PHUCKIN IDIOTS FAiL TO REALIZE COSTING THE EAGLES THAT GAME. LOL. ok all jokes aside, i def think the eagles need to use Vick better and i think our o-line needs some work. i was at the game ans there were HELLA EAGLES FANS there. i dont think we played up to our potential but a win is a win, and i dont think anything is wrong with our passing, i mean how about 3rd and 23? if our o-line was better we could pass more successfully.

We went from being just a bad 3 and 1 team to one that struggles to get down the feild...there needs to be more shots taken down field to spread there defense if they want to hit guys in the middle like the eagles have for years...also you cant bootleg and call a play-action if you just passed it 3 times in a row lol... This offense is stuggling they just cant get into rhytmn with all the whack tricks...

    i agree justwannawinna, that`s why i think they should just scrap the wildcat thing period, unless it`s a direct snap to westbrook or mccoy. the offense can`t get into any rythem with vick coming in for 1 play here and there.

  Here's the predicton. Vick will not be with the Eagles after this season. Somebody in that organization, whether it be McNabb or someone else, talked the FO into signing him as a favor. Kolb will be the backup if anything happens to McNabb anyway. Vick is just a sideshow to sell tickets right now.

  How long has Vick been away from the game? How long does it take to adjust to the "speed" of the game? I think Vick could get back to being a decent running threat by the end of the season. He could never throw the ball to begin with.

    At some point you just got to say this is the way its gonna be. McNabb is the QB for the season and Vick is going to be used to expand our offensive capability. 100 million should keep Donovan from saying anything. frankly, who cares whether it hurts his ego. You play to win and to win it all you need your best players on the field.

    The wildcat has to be used and fit in with the gameplan. You can't run the wildcat on 3rd on 23. It's pretty much another run formation and teams are stacking the box with 8 men. The offense has to find plays to counter that. It's just like Madden, if I keep blitzing and you can't stop it cause you keep running play action what are you gonna do. Find a play that work. The Eagles already know they are gonna stack the box yet they keep trying to run thru it which makes the fans like me and you say "why do we have it if it aint working?"

  Mcnab rarely stays healthy (refer to week one)and noone knew what Kolb could really do. I still like the Vick signing and eventually Reid will set up the defense and go deep with the ball just like he did with Deseans reverse for 70 yards.

  If Hasselbeck is healthy, Wallace sees a few snaps at the end of a winning game, none at all if the Hawks are losing. If Reid isn`t going to put Kolb in, why on Earth would he put Vick in? DMAC IS the Eagles QB. The Eagles want to win games, because that way, they may have a chance of going to the SuperBowl. Advertising Vick, by making him a `co-quarterback` is simply not in the teams` plans, or in their best interests. They gave him a spot in the NFL, for peanuts, and IF they need him, he`s available. They did not sign him to be a marquee player.

  Be realistic, what does MV, bring to the table, that the Eagles really need? He`s a QB, but the Eagles already have a great one. MV could be a receiver, but the Eagles already have some very good ones. MV `might` be able to implement a `wildcat system`, but there`s no guarantee that it would work in Philly. At this point in the season you don`t want to begin fooling around with unproven concepts, you HAVE to win games, to stay alive. Would Vick, be interesting to watch? Possibly, but he would have to be better than McNabb-not, as good as, but BETTER, for Andy to have any notions of putting him in. He`s a back-up, nothing more, nothing less. Be grateful that he`s even got this. He undoubtedly is.

  I think your confusing your expectations of what the Eagles should do with Vick with what they intend to do with him. They certainly never said he would see significant playing time. As I remember it, they want him to become a true QB that is able to be effective throwing the ball. Have you seen anything yet that would lead you to believe he is more than a work in progress?
