Questions for Donovan?

Donovan I hope you read this and respond even though I know you probably won't due to time restraints and practice and getting ready for Monday night and yada yada, but I as well as others have a lot questions to ask you. This may not be a forum friendly (EAGLES) post as I know I will catch a lot of criticism for SPEAKING MY MIND because I can't ask questions to our beloved Super Star QB but I really, really, want to know some answers that a lot of people also want to know. YB please feel free to ask our star QB Donovan that we love so much those questions that intrigue you. Hopefully he responds.

Last year against Cincy, the infamous TIE. Do or do the refs NOT explain the overtime rules before the coin toss. I think it goes something like this "Whoever scores first wins, if you dont score it's a tie" or something similiar. I just broke it down in lehman's terms. Now with the Raiders, you pull a Chris Webber and call a timeout you don't have. You are the leader, the field general, and you are marching your team down the field. You have to be aware of all situations. So my questions to you Donovan are...

    1. Do you pay attention AT ALL?
    2. How can you yell at players and tell them to get their head in the game when you can't find yours?
    3. You say you were embarrased about the teams play. Hell we were embarrased as fans. We were embarrased that OUR QB called a time-out we didn't have. So how do you handle that, what do you tell the guys in the locker room to get them fired up?

You know I ask these questions cause normally you post you YB BLOG about well you did and the Phillies and how you wanna be Champs like them but where is your "I'm sorry guys Blog?"

You got stupid Cowgirl fans laughing at us. The whole NFL laughing at us and all you are is embarrased??? You need to be more than that.

hmm...You asked Donovan why did he call a time out the team didn't have maybe you should ask Andy why he would call a time out right before the 2 minute warning. I am pretty sure knows where his head is lol both of them since they are BIG. Maybe you should ask yourself a question. For instance, what is the definition of insanity?

Birdman, why does it matter if Mcnabb called a timeout or if he didn't. The play clock was at zero and he still had players running around trying to get set. Either way it is a delay of game. I've been watching football for twenty some years now and it seem s like a conditioned response for a qb to turn around and call a timeout if the play clock is rolling down to zero. Now what about all the delay of games that qb's take when it seems their not even aware of the play clock? What do you have to say to all of them?

Your really reaching with this. It didn't affect the game in anyway.

Guys, they are questions and conditioned response or not you should still be aware. You act like I'm dissin him cause i'm asking why he did certain things. Hell i'm dissin O.J. by asking him why he killed Nicole. I mean d@mn they are just questions.
  • MONSTER
im sorry but he will never respond, and its not cause he doesnt have the time

he doesn`t respond to his own blog, so why would he respond?

      Placard_complete_small
You know what, that's true and I can't say the same for all athletes cause I remember plenty of times having conversations with them and them answering whatever questions you did have. I have respect for those guys who interact with the fans. I wish Donovan would do the same.
    • 20dawk4life
yeah np i remember the TE who cant get a job talking back to me and brendon haywood telling me he isnt surprised how rude us philly fans are. its like damn mcnabb why have a blog if ur not gonna respond? i know ur not busy reading the rule book.

Good point monster.....Donovan would be a fool to respond to this post. Calling that time out made no difference in the outcome anyway so who cares? If they somehow eeeeked out a win then it would be business as usual in Eaglesville

      Placard_complete_small
It's not the point if we won or not it's the principle and the question I asked him was does he pay attention? Being in that position, that's something you have to be aware of. Plus it did make a difference cause we were penalized and didn't pick up a first down which killed the drive.
    • Canuck
      Placard_complete_small
well obviously he wasn't paying attention to how many time outs they had remaining or else he wouldn't have called for a time out. Doesn't mean he doesn't pay attention to everything else. He ran the plays Andy called and his O line didn't play for him. If I were DMac and was witnessing first hand that my team doesn't give two shyts about me, I probably would be 100% focused either
  • hollywoodeagle
Donovan hasnt realized his best ally isnt Andy reid but the fans. My question would be put like this. Watching the success of Eli & Peyton Manning, Brett favre , Tom Brady, Big Ben & others..etc does it bother you that they have fufilled their legacy and your future as a hall of famer is still up in the air?
  • calieagle99
The reason he won't respond to any of our questions is because whatever he says will be put up on ESPN and NFl network. He'll get scrutinized for anything he says. That being said I have a question for you big 5...what's your favorite chunky soup flavor?

      good point calieagle.
    • hollywoodeagle
      Nah, hes yesterdays news.

For some reason McNabb is criticized more than almost any other athlete. The media likes to twist and tear apart everything, so I can understand why he would rather post an article he can revise and edit instead of answering questions where he is not in control.
  • MONSTER
sorry hockeygoddess but tony romo is criticized way more than mcnabb......mcnabb cant take the heat he gets as a eagle,he would never survive the media as the qb of the dallas cowboys
    • TheSweez
yeah, it used to be McNabb, But romo has gotten a lot of attention lately. But i betcha who ever loses more games is gonna be the whipping boy of the NFL
    • BRINKSTER
      Placard_complete_small
If a player can handle the heat in Philly for 10+ years they can handle it anywhere. I guess Romo has handled the heat pretty well in Dallas--I mean look at how many playoff wins it's translated into.

      Brinkster,
You know what they say about fanatics: "They can't change the their minds nor the subject."

      Placard_complete_small
I think the media in Philly and NY are a lot tougher than Dallas. No disrespect to Dallas fans, but Really dude, get real....
  • MONSTER
    i can agree with that
  • MONSTER
brinkster,i was not taking any shots at mcnabb, so stop getting so emotional and take the skirt off

well first of 5 dosent have to answer u or anyone else. this is the same guy who has given us a superbowl apperance and 5 NFC championships. lets be honest we've all seen that one game were a guy called a 4th and got away with it. and maybe if vick hadent bleeeeeeped up he wouldnt have had 2 oh and maybe if the line had actually showed up we'd have won that game! look for 5 to vent his frustrations this week against washigton, and give zorn his walkinng papers, when he puts up atleast 35 points.

If I had to say something to Donovan, it wouldn't be a question, more like a comment - actually a post to show my gratitude, a thank you letter.

I'd say thank you Donovan, thank you for enduring the laughs, the boos and the critics. Thank you for playing your best each game. Thank you for even though you have more money for your entire family and their children's, children to retire on, you still play your heart out.

Thank you for sticking with the Eagles and not demanding a trade like some others would. Thank you for coming back after many surgeries. Thank you Five, for putting your body, well-being and life at risk. Thank you for carrying this team and cities hopes on your shoulders each and every sunday from September through January.

Thank you Super Five for the Ten-plus years you put into this city. My only wish is that we could get ten more.
    • funkediva
