Two Trades the Eagles should make..

Trade a 4th round draft pick for Chiefs OLB Derrick Johnson. He would start immediately over Chris Gocong and would shore up a defense that routinely gives TE's a "free pass". He's  not the most optimal run stuffer, but with the next move, he would make perfect sense. So what to do after trading for Johnson? Well here is the instant solution to the problem:

Trade SAM LB Chris Gocong and a 6th round draft choice to the Green Bay Packers for DE Aaron Kampman. Gocong would fit perfectly in the Green Bay defense as he is able to defend the run and provide pass rushing ability with his natural DE position he had in college. He's a more viable solution to the Pakers failed attempt at moving Kampman to a new position. The Eagles are in need of a rush end opposite Trent Cole and Kampman would fit the bill to a tee.

The Eagles generally stock pile draft picks every year, and this next year is no different. They could afford to move a few pieces around and instantly upgrade a defense that is in need of some very real tweaking. With these two moves, the Eagles would position themselves as one of the top tier defenses in the league. And the Eagles woudn't have to rely on the ZERO BLITZ SCHEME that has proved to be inconsistent with the recent loss to the Raiders. So what are you waiting for? Make it happen!!
