Westbrook's recent headaches forced the Eagles to play it on the safe side.

The Philadelphia Eagles usual starter at the running back position, Brian Westbrook, was announced as inactive for Sunday night's game. It had been rumored all day Sunday that Westbrook wouldn't suit up tonight, but it hadn't been made official until shortly before kickoff.

Eagles head coach Andy Reid said earlier in the week that he expected Brian to play, unless a setback occurred. Well, a setback did in fact occur.

"On Friday afternoon Brian began experiencing symptoms of a mild headache," according to a statement from the Eagles. "From that point forward, we had Brian re-evaluated by [team internist] Dr. Gary Dorshimer and we put him through extensive testing. Even though those tests were determined to be negative, we all thought it would be in the best interest of Brian and the team that he should be deactivated for tonight's game. We will continue to evaluate Brian this week."

Also joining Brian Westbrook on the inactive list for tonight's game are, Eagles "SAM"/Strong-side linebacker Chris Gocong, wide receiver Kevin Curtis, offensive guard Mike McGlynn, offensive tackle Max Jean-Gilles, defensive end Victor Abiamiri, cornerback Dimitri Patterson and recently acquired running back P.J. Hill.

The Cowboys have no surprises to add to their inactive list. Cornerback Allen Rossum, safety Michael Hamlin, linebacker Steve Octavien, linebacker Jason Williams, offensive guard Montrae Holland, center Duke Preston and offensive lineman Pat McQuistan, would all miss the game on Sunday night.
