Where Is LJ Smith???

After 2 Games, Philadelphia Eagles Tight End Lj Smith Has 6 Catches For 49 Yards And 1 Td Throughout 2 Games. Lj Smith Was No Place To Be Found On Monday In The Eagles Lost To Dallas. Is It Donovan McNabb Not Throwing It To Him, Or Is It Lj Not Getting Open For Him Because Donovan Mcnabb Will Find Targets If He Has Enough Time To Deliver It To Him. If Lj Smith Wants To Be Or Stay A Philadelphia Eagle, He Has To Prove That He Can Stay Healthy And Be An Elite Tight End In The NFL And Help Out Donovan McNabb.

i think we will see more of LJ i think teams expect D mac to go to LJ a lot more with Curtis and reggie hurt but D Mac likes to spread the ball and other teams dont know what to expect so its smart not to go to Lj anymore then he has been right now teams can only think of one thing and thats try to stop westbrook and lets keep it that way teams cant game plan for us

  • I really wish they would get him involved..... either him or the second coming for Jason Witten, Brent Celek.

well thank the lord l.j. is only tendered this year by next year celek should be ready to step in!!!
    • Lets hope so. I dont want to hate on LJ because he did help us early in his career, but he has become a little too inconsistent for me... I really have high hopes for Celek. He is very impressive when he has the ball thrown to him.

Celek is golden.... sadly i think he is our guy

He's pretty cheap though...dude bought fiance a mere $7,000 ring his rookie year. C'mon Brent, they gotta pay rookies more than that!

haha, the second coming of jason witten, brent celek. your right, i like what we've seen fom him so far.

He's supposed to be healthy, so why arent we seeing him rack up 60-80 yards per game? I did notice in the Dallas how few snaps he lined up for. It seemed like they either went with an extra WR or a blocking TE on many occasions.

Well i know in week one he dropped one to many balls and mcnabb probably didnt feell to safe throwing to him after that.. Definately took the confidence away.

IM not sure if that went into monday night, or if he was being double covered,.
IT was almost like he didnt even play.. Im hoping he steps it up this week, and he shows something, because we ll need him to play good against this steeler defense.

I don't think McNabb would lose all confidence after one game. Everyone is entitled to a bad day and McNabb knows that.
    • DTRIK19
If that'd be the case McNabb would never throw to ANY of his WRs...they all drop balls. Lewis and Jackson each dropped 2 HUGE passes in the Dallas game. Had they made those 2 we wouldnt even care about LJ right now because we would have won that game.

LJ has hands of stone!!!!!!!!!!!! He needs to step the **** up!!!!!!!

in order for the Eagles to be sucessful, LJ needs to be on the field to help out McNabb on third down... the Eagles WRs do not have the experience for third down

  • Andy Reid said they kept him in alot to help on Ware and Ellis...but I agree he does need to play better...especially since Donovan likes to try to get him the ball

THe main reason why the Eagles are stuggling in the red zone is because they need someone like Jason witten. A threat at WR to open things up... I thought he was gonna have a good year too.... oh well it's on the 2nd game of the season...

I THINK HE HAS BEEN HIDING BEHIND THE DEFENDERS JUST TO MAKE DON LOOK BAD.THAT INTERSEPTION WAS ALL HIS FAULT BECAUSE HE REALLY DIDN'T EVEN ATTEMPT TO CATCH THE DARN THING IT HIT THE TIPS OF HIS FINGERS AND BOUNCED UP IN THE AIR.WHAT AN IDIOT!!!
