A Real QB Would Make A Difference.

Lets not kid ourselves and try to make out Vick's game against the Broncos as some kind of good thing. He was frankly terrible at best. Some may wish to praise him for running to get out of jams, but in reality he was in jams, because he held onto the ball too long. He's already has been sacked half as many times as he was last season. His completion percentage has rapidly declined over the past few games, and it's clear when you watch him go up against other quality NFL quarterbacks he doesn't measure up to them. Quality play at the QB position will stabilize an offense. Right now Vick doesn't trust what he sees. He doesn't recognize what the defenses are showing him, and he is lacking confidence in his ability to throw the ball. He's patting and hesitation instead of dumping off to hot routes. He's having issues with touch often putting too much zip on passes that need accuracy. He's not improving and at this point doesn't seem like the best option for the offense we all thought he would be. Now he may not be as much of a liability as some other positions on this team ( the entire special teams, most of the defense, Riley Cooper, and Brent Celek to name a few), but the honest truth is he isn't making them better right now either. It's funny that many are already wondering if Kelly's offense has become predictable. Ironically many of us were asking this same question about Reid's offense last season. So what are the common denominators? Vick, Jackson, and Celek. This time the coach is calling on his leader to step up and turn this team around. He's putting it on Vick's shoulders to be a leader. This will be difficult for him to do as he is struggling as well. It's time for Mike to step up and either play like a pro or fade away into obscurity. This is his last chance. There isn't another team out there who would be willing to give him this opportunity. Time is running out on him and his career.

  • The Eagles Blitzed Manning, and he had his eyes downfield looking for the hot route. The Broncos blitzed Vick and he had his eyes on the defender. Rinse and repeat.

  • Sorry Potter I don't get where you, your eagle pride, giantsrepeat, and all your other fake IDs are referring to, and that does include your lilfella ID as well. That must be some kind of inside you, because all of your fake IDs type it, and it still makes no sense.
  • Isn't it funny how suddenly receivers are open and making plays when Foles was out there? Hmmm
