A THIRD AND FINAL REVIEW.
August 01, 2011
“GET THE BOOKEND. That was the cornerstone of the series THE 12 that I wrote this summer. So far steps (1) Get the bookend, (3) Shuffle the linebackers, (5) Size matters, (6) Sav us from Rocca, (8) Big, strong Defensive Tackle, and (12) Play the Cards; have all been done.
NOTE: Of the 7 things I recommended they could do prior to the season, they've already done 6 of them.
We still need to establish a power runner (step 4). (I'd still like LeRon McClain (Ravens) by the way.)
Steps 2 (Run on 1st down), 7 (Novacek it down), 9 (Slot their throats), 10 (Replace DJax (as a PR), and 11 (Shelve the Wildcat) are all in-game commitments.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OF the in-game commitments mentioned, the only one they got around to early was #11. They didn’t start really trying to involve Celek (#7), until week 8.
From a personnel standpoint I stand behind what I wrote last year. The guys they brought in during Free Agency weren’t busts. They addressed some sore points from 2010.
The time has come to build on what was good about last year. When they did what I recommended (not that they read my posts!), it worked out for them. When they ignored it, they paid. So I feel confident coming out with a new list of THE 12 for 2012.

This years "THE 12" will be issued PRIOR to the Draft.
-
u should save one or two of the 12 for after cause we still got rookie FA n see what happens in OTAs n training camp never know what could happen
-
Most of what derailed the Eagles last year was game management stuff (Timeouts, run defense adjustments, too many plays were the routes took long to develop, getting away from the run, etc.)
I think they have the horses. They just need to focus on some very basic things and not get in their own way this year. No one stopped them like they did last year. If they fix some very small things, you'll see some very BIG results.
